Last night our middleweight Josh Adewale hammered out a unanimous win at the Imber Court Police Sports Club in East Molesey, Surrey. He fought the tough Harry Walter but proved too strong for the local lad. Josh's performance was fantastic. Nice work Josh from your team at Slough ABC!

Thanks to everyone who performed at our annual show on 23-05-14 at Slough Irish Club. Our Slough boxers put on a great show as did our visiting clubs from London and the Home Counties! Our winners on the night were Geoff Dixon who was our boxer of the night, Muz Adams, Fahil Aslam and Muazzam Malic.
Our coaches also received recognition for all they do. Special awards went to Chris Donovan for 'Outstanding Achievement', Ken Cook for 'Lifetime Achievement' and Ian Bailey for 'Coach of the Year'.
We were also able to thank Colin and Sue Armfield on the night for helping the club create a brand new website!
All in all the night was a fantastic event and the feedback we received has been incredible. Roll on our next show!

England women's boxing star Hannah Beharry provided inspiration to our boxers at Slough ABC last Tuesday! Hannah is one of Britain's top female boxers and has won numerous medals at elite tournaments across the globe.
Hannah was so excited about attending and shared she loved mentoring young people with sports to raise their aspirations.
She gave our Juniors a talk about boxing and had them all glued to her! She also did the warm up with our Head Coach Chris and did some pad work with the boys helping them get ready for our show this Friday.
Hannah returns for two more visits as part of our Sportivate Project. Hannah said: "I'm really looking forward to returning to Slough ABC. I cannot wait to help them get fit through boxing training and tell them about my own experience of proudly representing England."
To hear more about Hannah and her next few visits, contact Delia at the club.
